Our epoxy two component resin is a product you apply on new wood or already affected wood, exposed to the action of moisture. This epoxy resin is so thin liquid that it easily penetrates the wood, especially if the wood is slightly porous, or if the wood is already damaged by moisture. Wood fibres and harmful microorganisms are completely encapsulated.
Use of “Epoxy” wood sealing
After mixing the 2 components resin at a temperature of 20°C, you can work with it for some hours. Applied on the wood, it will dry more quickly. Before mixing the two components, share well the two bottles and make sure the minimum temperature of the components is 5°C. Under this temperature the components might separate in layers.
The thin epoxy resin will disappear into the wood, especially if it is slightly porous. Apply as often as necessary until the resin does not disappear into the wood any more, or depending on the protection you deem necessary for wood.
For further processing with other materials, such as, for example, polyester putty, or lacquers, complete drying of the Epoxy Wood Sealing is required, that is to say depending on the layer thickness of 2 hours up to a day (at room temperature).
“Epoxy” wood sealing dosage
Epoxy Wood Sealing is a very thin epoxy resin with an easy mixing ratio of 1: 1 (by volume).
This ratio is not critical, but should be respected as much as possible.
